the 7.5 will hold up to the 5.0 unless its heavily modified

my bad i had all the posts confused, i had it right the first time. i didnt see that he was asking what rear end he had, i thought he was just asking if his rear end would hold up to the 5.0 then your post confused me, i thought you were saying they had a 7.5. so ya anyway i was confused

i would put gears in it.
gears are a great mod. if you are using the 7.5 rear end I would also suggest getting a traction lock installed at the same time.

i have a ranger with 373 gears but i think its a 8.8 rear would the gears work

no, the 7.5 and 8.8 need different gears, you need gears for the 7.5

also if u r puting the 5.0 in a good t-lock would help to beef up ur rear end to handle the more power.

if you have an auto 4.10's, if you have a manual 3.73's but thats just my opinion

do you have a donor car to get all the parts from? otherwise might as well sell your car and buy a 5.0, i would be cheaper then buying everything to swap it over
