Maybe your car was just "lousy", I mean what did you rebuild your car with exactly to prevent that?

new rings gaskets bearings etc just stuff from have a 100k mile engine, right now my mach 1 engine is completely toren down at wyotech. doing the same thing only at 52k miles...but after i rebuilt the 232 it went about 4k miles after i put the s/c on it and it snapped the crank...i ended up coming to the conclusion the stock crank is horrid....forged internals ftw oh yeah btw i did have the proper dyno tune and i had an sct xcal2.....plus i put alot of stress on the car on the strip and i beat on it

So the stock crank <- what did you replace the stock crank <- with?
We're talking strictly crankshaft here.

Cute: Nobody makes a forged crank it would have to be a custom job and it would cost you way more than 600$

Anyway you would be in the special group of people: 1cracked block and now you 1 broken crank shaft.

gotboost232 your full of it
i doubt you even pushed 283RWHP with 7psi on the procharger
and theres not a chance you snap the crank since NO ONE has yet to snap a 3.8 or 4.2 crank
you would have blown a ring first if anything
you would have had a shitty tune
wyotech SUCKS! just had someone from Ford tell me that at world ford in florida they dont take anyone from wyotech or uti

dude we've got cars that push almost DOUBLE your power and didnt snap the crank....
show me and post a picture of the crank.
of YOURS not one that some idiot at wyotech broke
and a forged crank lol
$600 HAHAHAH yea the fuck right dude
i respect that you like my car but making shit up....
ive personally emailed delk, rpm, and ssms
delk says $2000-2500 for the forged crank

sorry SSS i know you wanted this one but if for someones sake they're alergic to bullshit they'd die reading this thread right now

Vortech gives you 250-280 at the tires on a stock engine.....thats over 300 at the crank. If it came with a an intercooler it would be alot more too. Prochargers are garbage and their power rating is at the crank....not too mention 345 at the crank at 12psi + an intercooler is absurd. Procharger = inefficent, cheaply made, and will require rebuilding every 5k or so. Vortech = more power, more efficient, and super reliable.
