I know you are all gunna hate me but...


If i got a b and m powershifter with the ratchet one, would i be able to install it myself or would i for sure have to take it in to a shop?

ratchet shifter is more track based, and would be a pita on the street.

the difference is that the ratchet doesnt tell you in what gear you are and it only has a upshift and down shift while the hammer marks the gear ur in ( i think that the difference if some1 could explain it better i would appreciate it)

you dont need a torque converter.
go with whatever shifter you want

Youll definately need a shift kit to hold the gear and for the transmission to handle it properly.

Id recommend the fairbanks street and strip high performance transaction kit. =http://www.transmissioncenter.net/Shift_Kits.htm
then id recommend the transgo package.

buy a tuner too swo you can adjust the shift pressure and tweak some more stuff.
