Things to replace? (also tech questions)

Yeah trust me dont go with sony. You are right on going to crutchfield though. I got my pioneer deck from them and in included good directions and a harness as well as a bracket. My only advice is if you are adding subs to your system make sure you take the time and find a box that will fit or make your own. I got one off ebay for around 30 bucks with tweeters :-). Secondly, I have kicker comp vr 12s and a no name amp and they are a little much to be honest. They are fun to show off or when i am in the mood to get my intestines jiggled. Otherwise, get some tens.

yeah some brands are just "ok" brands they arent the best but they do the job. find a nice pioneer deck that gives 50wX4. alpine type r's subs seem to get alot of people attention. then its up to the amp. dont cheap out on amp, really its the most important part besides the box

use crutchfield to look up something you like and then buy it from ebay. i got my headunit and subs hundreds of dollars cheaper.
