Things to replace? (also tech questions)

yes so i was working on the car today and fixed the problem i had. It was a dirty maf cause the filter broke.. how? dont ask me cause id k and for the guys that think about removing the lil maf filter dont do it cause that saved my maf from getting grass and papers (yes it had that)...

ok the things is I'm going to replace a few parts to make my car look a tid more refreshing and new

things i'm going to buy and do:

-buy new trunk carpets and panels (everything since they are all stained)
anyone know a site to check prices on? before i go to the dealer or a local shop

-shift boot and knob (looking for the frpp one)

-new pedals (the frpp ones at americanmuscle)

-repaint the 3rd brake light since its faded

-replace all radiator hoses and since i'm there replace also the thermostat

-get new sound system (need help.. what to look for?)

Now here comes the tech related questions...

i'm at 120k miles what maintenance my motor needs besides the monthly routine? do i need to change belts, pullies, chains? something like that? Also do i need to check a part on my tranny or rear end gears? or any other part that will wear out at my current mileage or soon? I dont want to have an unexpected problem that's all sorry if i posted like a newb but hey i'm writing w.o thinking right now and i'm in a hurry besides i cant find my owners manual

i believe you need to check the or replace 02 sensors
check timing CHAIN
hoses
sensors

fuck it just change your 02 sensors and dont worry about the timing chain
everything else should be find
but do check vacuum hoses
also relacing the thermostat and radiator hoses is a good idea

ok i know the o2's sensors are the reason my rpms dance. Should I get a lower temp thermostat? or it wouldn't change anything some1 told me to do it but i don't find any reason to do it . Timing chain when should I change it? any other motor parts?

also I will get lt's soon so i need mil eliminators and o2 extenders right? am i missing something more?

well sorry for all the Q's i have tomorrow free so I will make some trips to Autozone and other places to check on everything also I'l fix the exhaust (bad weld=leak).

02 sensor deffintly get dirty over time and read slightly wrong.
change your spark plugs as well
keep the 190degree stat to go to 180
shit your in PR its always hot anyway...usually in hot states unless its COLD COLD when your car is running and the stat opens and usually just stays open anyway...

timing chain RARELY goes bad...you dont wana go throught the work anyway, its a lot

you dont NEED MILs i believe

JBL's are the way to go. The amps are a little expensive so i would go with a Pioneer, Kenwood, or Diamond. As far as subs go, 10's are for fast pace bumping like rock, hard rock, etc. And 12's are for low bumping like rap. And go with JBL subs, also Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Kenwood, and Diamond are good subs too.

*Oh and btw, if you buy any sound equipment from best buy, NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER have them install it*

I always try to do everything my self besides its not hard to change speakers or put subs i have helped my aunt put a amp and speakers on her F-150 it isnt hard but its time consuming. The somes were done by local shop and they broke the dash my aunt has to pay for a new one cuz they say it was like that. Wow and best buy looks like a good place huh? lol

so u know any specific model and radio to look for? i'm gonna check crutchfield to see what fits on the stang then got to ebay and look it cheap lol

Pioneer, JVC, Alpine, and Sony radios are good.. pretty much anything will fit, you have to get a mustang deck install kit, its only $20 at best buy.

all brands have their good equipment just depends on how much it is, you dont have to spend 350 bucks for a good cd player though, waste of money if you ask me, shit mine was 120 bucks at walmart and it works great (pioneer by the way )

sony is descent for radios, but not for subs or amps.. that would be my last choice of radio, well nvm i take that back, dual would be my last choice. kenwood subs arent bad at all. i know a lot of people who have kenwoods, and they sound good, and without any problems..

infinity makes great subs and rockford fosgate and soundstream make great amps. headunit is users choice since theyre are basically the same imo....they play a fucking cd/mp3 and look nice...anything else? nope
