question about engine build

Okey so how would the combintation of
Rpm-mustangs Ported big valve heads
258cfm @ .550" lift intake
153cfm @ .550" lift exhaust
Morana racing 224/224 cam
99+ windstar upper and lower intake
work out my my 4.2? Would this be an alright combo? I am also going to port and polish, and half shaft the throttle body, and then go straight to the dyno. I will try to fit the windstar under the stock hood, if i cant, then i guess its a good thing i have a cobra hood on the way.

don't think the 99 and up windstar will fit under the stock hood (i know u can make the 96-98 fit) but on the 99 and up i think u have ishues with the runers themselves not clearing. also the 01 and up have a small redising that make them even better then the 99 and 00
also 224/224 sounds like a turbo cam, r u na s/c or t/c

Yea i have heard of people moving the iac and being able to fit the intake under the stock hood, but whatever i have a new hood coming i was just going to try to let other people know if it could be done.

And im n/a, but the cam is the one thing on the list that i already have and i really dont want to waste it and buy a new cam, i would think with such good flowing heads and intakes the cam should work out nicely, and i dont want to be exactly the same as everyone else

well u most likely will need to relocat it even to get it to fit under the aftermarkit hood unless it is like a 5in cowel hood

also just my opption but u will not get very good benifits from that cam staying na(i could be wrong but probaly not), not saying u have to be like evry one elss, but if it is unused id try to sell it to some one wit ha turbo and get somthing a little more seated to ur aplacation.

The cam has been used
What would result from using this cam instead of one smaller? What makes you say it is too big?

Well i just cant seem to understand why Tom Morana of Morana racing would reccomend me this cam then. Maybe he gave me the wrong specs for it or something. I realize that too big of a cam looses alot of throttle response and only makes its power higher up in the power band, which i guess i may have noticed, but i figured that by getting such good flowing heads and intakes they would compensate for it and make it even better than a smaller cam

well they will help but the problom still comes from the fact that the exhaust is so big that u lose a lot of back preshure, and there for low end TQ.
however the big exhaust is nice for turbos for the ovies reason that they run off of it.
