Cost is a big deal.
If you don't have the money to mod a v6, then your defiantly not going to have money to mod a GT, pay insurance, car payments, etc. Unless your just gonna go into the hole trying to mod the car. You can't forget about the cost difference.

you are completely beating around the bush. A worked up GT will always be faster and more powerful than a V6. Go argue in the GT section and say that they will never be able to beat your V6 because you have a great suspension setup and yur running 12 PSI.

He is arguing cost, not that a GT can't beat a v6.

But a GT won't always be more powerful than a v6.... (you didn't say mustang)

you know thats what i meant. And cost doesnt mean shit to those who can afford it. If you cant afford the V8 then go the V6 with a turbo or s/c.

hahaha who called it? i knew chris would have something to say....so lets put it this way, a stock GT is gonna smoke a stock v6, no modding, completely stock, end of story, theres too many factors to consider if you bring mods into play, so the only fair race to compare a GT to a v6 is completely factory stock otherwise you will be arguing back and forth all day saying "well if i did this and this to this" blah blah blah

oh and who cares about cost? if thats the only way u can can prove a v6 would be a better route to take than thats stupid, i bought my mach 1 for 6500, it has a 351 cleveland, and a hell of a lot of room for potential, so as long as you find the right deal, a v6 isnt always gonna be less costly

what are you babling about, why isnt stock vs stock fair? i bet you could find a stock GT for the same price as a stock V6, so that being said, the same amount of money has been spent, which car is faster? the GT, quit being a big baby and quit going back to the whole money deal, factor out the cash, or say you have an unlimited amount of it, 4.6 vs 3.8 do whatever you want to it, the GT is gonna be faster, thats all the kid was trying to say, but you are making things too realistic and dont wanna admit a GT has more potential as long as money isnt a factor, and if it is then maybe a v6 would be less costly, but damn who gives a rats ass which is cheaper, if v6's are such a great deal then why dont u see everyone trying to get a v6 and mod it out instead of modding out v8's? anyone who wants to go fast is gonna automatically want a v8, they want the starting power and torque to start from there, thats why you dont see people going "oooo im gonna go get a v6! its gonna be so fast!" no they want v8's because they have more potential

I have no problem with v8s, v6s, 4cyls, I love cars but:

Just for the pure sake of argument. And don't say price doesn't matter because if that was the case we would all be in z06's/gt500s and their wouldn't be a v6 section of MM, or a gt section, just cobra and gt500 sections.

Lets say Rich Dad gives his two 18year old sons 30,000 to buy a new car. Rich dad always had a mustang and tells them they can't buy anything else.

Spoiled Son 1: Goes to the lot does some sweet talking and gets a 2008 mustang GT exact msrp out the door.
Spoiled Son 2: Looks around and settles on a v6 and gets it for msrp also.

Spoiled Son 1: GT premium coupe 27,765 which leaves him with: 2235
Spoiled Son 2: V6 premium coupe 21,225 which leaves him with: 8775

They leave the lot an race, sure the GT will win but spoiled son 2 has almost 9grand to play with to catch up, who wins in a month?
Buy the way: You have to argue new car prices, you can't argue "Oh you can prob find a 99gt for the same price as a 04 v6". Because I guarentee you I can find an LS1 with 150k that will blow the doors off a gt stock for stock....

well thats spoiled sons 1 fault for not spending his money smartly and buying a 30,000 dollar GT, see thats why u cant say one car is better than the other if money is a factor, which i know in the real life it is, but that are just too many variables, different people would do different things

Because ford's v6 isn't the best platform in the world. However their are a few v6 platforms I would jump at getting before getting a GT. And not to argue anymore but with an unlimited amount of money I don't know if the 2v gt motor has more potential....

yeah i agree there are a lot of v6 cars i would get before a GT, but mustang wise, id have to go with a GT, but in reality, i went with a mach 1 haha
