fuel pump relay

does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is on a 2002 v6? i have had some tell me that its the inertia switch in the trunk, and some tell me its located in the engine compartment by the firewall, i need to know its exact location, we have already gone through 2 fuel pumps. anybody have any ideas?

inertia switch is in the truck a piece of the truck is cover just pull it back and presto , drivers side

see, but im trying to order the fuel pump relay and its not the same as the inertia switch.

i dont really know i havent looked under my seat and ive ony delt with inetra switch, google is your friend though

Ok, Inside right front fender.. remove splash shield should have a box there with many wires and a number that says 12b581 or 12b577 somewheres on this box.... It also controls the cooling fans and the a/c

okay, still having trouble trying to find this fuel pump relay, just to recap, its not the inertia switch that im talking about, its an actualy type of relay.

there was nothing under that spashguard besides the computer, im looking for some kind of relay.

have you gone to a shop (auto zone, advanced, or any shop for that matter) and asked where it might be located at

geez guys... k you know the box under your hood with all the fuses by your batter... one of the metal fuses is your fuel pump relay switch.... two secs i'll look for a quick diagram but its in your owners manual if you have one

..... and some of you guys say you dealt with sct b4

that thing requires you to remove the fuel pump relay when programing a tune

haha anyways two secs on the exact location

the fuse your talking about is not the relay

that would be the only relay i know of.... for the fuel pump other then the back switch.

sorry thats a fuse..... :S ahh i did get mixed up.... my bad... anyways some guys did say something about it being intregrated into the pump or the line. maybe a fuel pressure regulator?
