when u say reinforce do u mean the mottom end, because for 300 hp u probaly wont need to, and as for what kind to go with im not a s/c expert but from what i here vortek is good, but now with the ssms adapter kit u have the options of a centrafugle style of a roots style.

disclamer: i am by no means as well schoold on f/i power as i am N/A, so people like sss, chris, or any one else who has a realy good understanding of F/I on our cars pleas fill in what i left out and crect any thing that i may have made a mistake with.

Well, you could definitely make 300hp at the crank with a serious N/A setup... maybe even 300whp if you went all out.

However, F/I is a simpler, more common way of getting there.

first off you shouldnt pay alot of attention to a friend that "is just now getting into cars".

second, any time you more than double your power, the bottom end is going to be a ticking time bomb.

The stock longblock can handle 300 crank horsepower, no problem, barring defects or a poor tune.

yes 300 at the crank can be done with an very serious n/a set up but 300 rwhp has yet to be done, that is my gole as well as hipo on v6 power, althow he is looking to brake the record for n/a rwhp in a cuple months, he is shooting for 300, but the resalts r unknow, yet.

Like I said, you don't need to build the bottom end to make 300 crank hp. Take a look at "itschristorres" or "ssstang" to just name 2 of the MANY that have already done so.

Yeah, that's why I didn't say it COULD be done, but that it probably could. I know HiPo thinks he might get there. I guess we'll see when he dyno's. Either way, though, I think it CAN be done.

i agry i think it can be done weather i am the first, secound or what ever # one to do it, i will. but it may take 12:1 cr or higher, race fule, and a very big walet, so hence why i segested F/I the avereg mans whay to make 300 ponys.

also DarkSidejoker, r u looking for 300 at the rear wheals of the crak.

it has been done and then some, however forced induction is the only way to get those numbers.

and again r u looking for this power at the crank or rear wheels.

rear whel is how much power u have at the rear wheels and crank power is how much u have at the crank. there is a diference betwen the 2 because of what is caled drive train lose. and just so u know the stock #'s of 190 is at the carnk the rear wheel is some whear around 160.

you might be able to squeeze 300 HP out of a super charger with just a tiny bit of work... new pistons and rods and a rebuilt rear end will be required
