question about motor swap?

ok wifes got a 99 v-6 vert automatic ,just got new true blue paint bullet rims and a new black top.she love the car now! except for the rumble. i put mac back on it the the pace setter dual conversion, she dont like it .it dont sound v8 at all. sorry v6 guys no offense, but shes been hearing my v8s for so long.

i want to now if its easy to drop a say a ,, 99 to 04 4.6 motor in it .?

will my auto trans in the v 6 work? or do i need a v-8 auto trans?

i got a 4.6 k member ,i know that has to be changed.

will the v-6 fuel pump be enough? if not a got a 97 cobra tank and pump, and will a be able to use the same ecm in the v-6 of couse with a new tune . or do i need a v8 auto ecm?
thanks!

it is a lot of work incloding rewireing the car and a new computer, if u r just gana drop a stock v8 in it and not do any hting to it, then id say go out and buy a gt vert.

i can get a 03 mach1 for here but its an 5 speed , good price $8500 127k car but car has 4.10s without the speed cal correction moudle. so that raked up some miles .bro inlaw said the faster you go the faster its off. dont know when the gears where done, i gues that swap is out too. ? they did make some auto machs but only 20% of them where .

That sucks that the previous owner of that mach1 was so cheap to put gears in it and not recal the speedo. I wouldnt buy it. As far as an engine swap....it would be easier if you just put the 4.3 stroker engine in the car. That would give it alot more rumble and all the electronics would stay the same.

it will be more cost efficient to sale and buy a gt if you wanna drop a motor drop something worth it like a 351, but if you just want the exhaust note deeper, grab some LT headers, throw out that pace setter crap weld in a custom h-pipe and put some flows on it mine got mistaken for a gt all the time from idle - 3k rpm

hourofpain always has a cocky remark.

Stroker it is involved swapping a V8 into the V6. You will need the computer out of the GT, and the k-member, and of course the engine. Im not positive but pretty sure that the V8 and V6 shared the 4R70W auto tranny.
