i charge 250 , other shops double that. to do it right its hard for the begginer without the tools dail ind. etc. but you can get close and cant go wrong if you got used gears , you can get by with the same side shims and the same pinon shim size. but the crush sleeve will be a bitch to crush unless you use the old one but it better not be to tight, i did lots of them that way back in the old days. with no whine.new gears means new brgs in the whole rearend and cleane housing out good.

but dont listen to me do it right ! if there new gears.

Used gears already have the previous drivers wear pattern in them. if you swapped them to your carrier you will have a very noisy set of gears that is a PITA to make quiet.

i have set up used gears from different cars . and had no whinning noise's used gears you do set up a little looser. my car i set up has tight as it calls for ,and make dom sure the pinon is shimed correct depht for strongest gear setup possible.most pinons have .029 to a .032 shim behind them. that where i start at. i dont have a depht gauge.su i go by pattern. but the tool would be nice.
