Gas Filler-Tube Grommet Replacement?
Hi All! I am just wondering if anyone knows if the gas grommet on the filler tube to tank can be replaced on a 97 Mustang (mine leaks badly), without dropping the gas tank?
It will be a real pain if tank needs to be lowered! |

yes, the tank has to be lowered. Just wait until it's almost empty and it's not that bad.

Thanks Twist 2 Go! You r right, but it's still a hassel. I changed the grommet and it's now leak free. I didn't have the right type of dolley to support the tank, so had to pile things up to the right height. Otherwise, it would have been a piece of cake. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. It was much appreciated! |
