x cal 3 will be great. the custom tune is the reason your getting the tuner. basically when you order it you tell them everything about your car and the mods you have and a custom tune is written for your car.

no you cant just switch back and forth unless you have 2 tunes. 1 for 87 and one for 93. then you could if you have 2 tunes

Recommended Additional Optional Tunes:
  • Additional Octane Levels (87+ Economy, 93+ Performance, etc)
  • 2-Step Rev Limiter (1999-2004 Manual Only)
  • Valet or Friend Mode (1999-2004 Only)
  • Nitrous Tune up to 100 Shot
  • Planned Future Modifications
so all of this stuff u would have to get a seprete tune for each one of these like id have to have 2 diff tunes for 2 step limeter and 93 octane?

Read Page 7 and 8.
(mind you that is if the person you bought it from allows you to do these adjustments)

sometimes they don't and that's for your cars safety basically.. they don't want you blowing up your car if you don't know how to tune it properly.

The user adjustable options allow you to adjust common vehicle parameters such as;
Fuel Octane, Rev Limiters, Speed Limiters, Axle Ratio and Tire Size Calibrations,
Engine Spark, Engine Timing, Fuel Table and more.

so this is included with the tuner? and dont have to buy a seprate tune for each?

Like I said.. it depends on the person you are buying it from.
it's up to him or her to unlock those.

you could always just ask them.
