thats weird i didnt know a 66 mustang came with the option of a 302, i thought it was either a 200 or 289...the 68 mustang came with a 302, the 2V having 210 HP and the 4V having 230

now that you say that the 302 wasn't an option till 68 right? So it would be a 289

yeah so if its a 289 2V it only has 200 hp, if its a 4V then it either has 225 or 271 depending on the compression ratio...or its not the original motor

your stock ENGINE new put out 155hp at the CRANK and idk where you got 225tq but it doesnt put that much out, the 99-04 dont put that much out
your tired engine puts like 115ish at the wheels if your auto

302 has more cubes
and the block is probably the best short block ford ever made as far as small blocks go









at least for the 5.0 foxes with forged pistons

Yeah man you're not gonna be able to do a whole lot other than bolt ons for the money that you're making. Plus, you might want to save some of that for repairs.
