Summer Lovin

Ha ha keep the minds out of the gutters people lol. Well anyway now that ive got your attention....this summer i am planning on working five days a week for about 5 hours a day at 7.50 an hour. So with that in mind i want to get the most out of my car. Performance and cosmetic wise. What would look cool on a 1997 Mustang Vert? Also my friend has a 66 mustang with a 302. I want to try to make my car as fast if not faster than his. He has told me that he is keeping his stock. So what should i get. Nitrious is out of the question cause i still live with my parents....and you know how that goes . But i can proly sneek a super/turbocharger past them. So what do you all think? Gauges and stuff included.

And thanks for the help, you guys always reply really fast and are very helpfull!

his motor is also 40 years old, a 2 brl 302 and he weighs a good 750 pounds more than you, unless it is a boss 302 which 200hp it is not, you should be able to beat him

well 1. buy an ebay CAI and get your MAF back on the car lol, im guessing you have a tuner from the previous quote, Id say header and exhaust, pulleys, real CAI, uhh if you got the cash a split port swap would be some quick power, a cam could help you out, port and polish intakes and TB. You'll be pushing a good bit of power

well i was listing the beginnings of a N/A set up and yes your rear could handle it get gears and t-lok too though I forgot about those, if you wanna go turbo or s/c you would have to set your cam for which your doing but otherwise that setup i listed will work with them as well

I think you need to sit down and figure out a few things.

What you want: N/a, Turbo, Supercharged, nitrous

What your budget will allow, in fact figure this out first then figure out what you want.

thats a little more to work with, im partial to NA myself, for 295 a month your probably not gonna get more than boltons on the car or a split port swap and a CAI that will put you even with 99-04 stangs

There is a local guy here in lincoln that owns a machine shop, he can port and polish heads, intakes and other things like that... might be able to rebuild heads too... if you can go a week or so with out your car you can hit me up and i can come help ya out...

IF NA is the way you want to go, or you could go nitrous or some shit like that... maybe even do a split port swap and get some stock heads then have this guy rebuild them for less then SSMS would charge or something like that just trying to keep your options open a bit
