I'm modding and driving my car because I ENJOY driving. And driving an auto just takes away from my experience. If ya don't like it, suck it. =P If you're fine with your auto and having to think about nothing but what RPMs you're sitting at when the tree turns green then by all means, feel free being simple. I prefer to have complete control about my shifts and what-not. Okay, i'm sorry, auto guys. I didn't mean to be mean. Haha. Just a little moody from work. I'm not building a track car (That's what my 84 El Camino is from... you know it'll be funny). I'm building a daily driver and my goal is to balance power with drivability and fuel performance. But I'll Keep the shift kit and hammer in mind if shit turns south and i find myself unable to do the conversion. Haha. -poindexter- |

B&M Hammer Shifters: BMM-81001 - summitracing.com I was also confused when i was looking at this shifter, but in reality its better to let the computer shift so why bother getting a shifter except for looks. |

ok you say you want to mod to beat this prelude... and u want the manual for the feel/fun of the drive... well which is it? a tuned auto transmission will ALWAYS outshift a manual... your taking away the human error... tuned, an automatic will shift as close to os perfect as possible, something you can most likely never touch shifting manually... just my 2 cents |

This hammer shifter and kit are starting to look more and more apealing to me as this thread grows.
