Automatics = Teh Suxor

So i have a '95 3.8L automatic. And I hate how i have no control over... well anything other than how hard i hit the gas. So i want to swap it out and drop in a manny tranny instead. But all my friends are only into dubs and can only give me VW related ideas. I want some info from my 'Stang boys, though.

So gimme what cha go. Price ideas. Needed parts. Upgrades I should make while shit's lying in my garage or my local shop's.

Any advice would be stellar. And if anyone wants to make jokes, go ahead. It's inevitable in a forum with "The New Guy".

Rofl.

Eff cheap and easy. This car has sentimental value. This is the car i've been driving since i turned 16 and it was given to me for a dollar when i turned 21 (Gotta love parents who want shiny new things, amirite?) Besides, there's not a single 5 spd in the area for less than 7k. Plus mine has a new motor in it so it feels like it'd be a waste. Like I said, just gimme info. =P

PS... I effing love your display pic. Funniest thing i've seen in days.

Thankees. You're awesome. I've been trolling through posts for hours now and haven't seemed to be able to find it. Haha.

Also... if you're right, and they stopped selling Original 40's... I'm going to QQ all over my automatic shifter. ='(

How much did your H-pipe cost? Or did you get-it-from-a-friend sorta deal? My pony needs a new exhaust and the custom H-pipe seems to be elusive in my town At the moment. =X

no problem
i had my whole exhaust custom made by a shop. custom H pipe custom pipes and he got a hold of some original 40's, you can still find some on ebay, you need offset/offset mufflers to fit under the car
