Odometer Broke.....:-(

so my odometer stopped working....ive been told by various people the lil gear inside broke. they said it can be fixed but the lil gear is like 100 bucks. i have someone that will also install it for me but however its going to be 75 bucks pls the cost of the gear. kind of pricey for a lil gear. so if anyone knows how to repleace this gear and can instruct me on how to do so myself i would GREATLY appreciate this and also if anyone knows of any sites i can order these gears from for the same price or cheaper that would be awesome! any ideas thoughts and inputs are greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

take out your instrument cluster
remove the plastic face that covers the instruments
take out the center piece of the instruments ( the one containing the speedo and tach )
check to see if the odometer drive gears teeth are broken
it is typical for this to happen after using the trip meter too much plus wear and tear
thats most likely what it is
it costs about 25 bucks including shipping to get the gear
and around 20 minutes or so to install it
