Clutch "Groaning"?

Hi,
I installed a Steeda firewall adjuster and quadrant today, along with my old OEM ford cable (70,000 miles). After it was installed, I noticed that the clutch, or cable, is groaning much more than normal when depressed! Does anyone know what is going on? The cable doesnt seem to be rubbing on anything, but it sure sounds like it. And it cant be the clutch right, cause it sounded fine when the original quadrant was installed. Thanks

I think I figured it out. The firewall adjuster just needed to be adjusted a little. Plus, it was groaning while the car was turned off. I couldnt even hear it when it was running (maybe it had always done that?) damn
