Ive always used 3M spray adhesive. Just spray it on the back of the carpet and on the trunk area that you plan to secure the carpet to, give it about 10 minutes to dry then apply the carpet and press it. Be sure that placement is correct the FIRST time b/c once this stuff grabs, you will not just peel it up and do it over. It WILL be stuck. Nice idea BTW.

just fyi, a replacement oem style 99-04 trunk mat for a coup costs about $70

im not replacing anything, if i mess up, i start over. i will document my process and take scale measurements on graph paper and write an article on how to create a carpeted "spare tire delete kit". i should be done with this project in a couple weeks since i am working weekends and i am busy with school.

saw the article, great job! look for my completed article by a week from this coming wednesday. we have 3 days off school and i should be ahead by then in school so i can finally get back to work on my car.

It is supposed to rain here in E GA again Friday, and we are out of school this coming Fri. through the follwing Wed., so look for my finished article either Thurs. evening or Friday sometime.

Well I got my trunk all back together except for my sub and amp since I'm selling them. Found out that sub of mine is capable of more than I thought.
