Exhaust Stuff

now, I know there's a lot of exhaust questions popping up lately, and I'm not going to thread jack, so, here's my questions.

1. MAC long tubes, will they void emissions tests by just replacing the stock ones with them, such as no crossover pipe or hollowed cats?
2. Since I lost a cat to fuel dumping, I had to hollow it out and it sounds like shit. so, I gotta replace my cats. are there different types... basically, how many do I need if I run the longtubes? I want to keep my original 40's and back, but there's not much room to work with between the LT's and the mufflers.

If you run long tubes, ditch the cats and either get a tuner to eliminate the CEL light or get MIL eliminators.

i cant keep the cats? i dont have to worry about emissions, ive a way or two around it. but the whole point is IF i need to in the future i'd be able to pass. would it sound like shit with the cats? i have an xcal 3 and i cant do shit with it.

you wont pass emissions with longtubes alone so you might as well go all out w/ LTs and no cats

personally i really went all out, i have LT's with no cats and my egr is welded shut lol

that sucks. how do the cats not work with the lts? are they that "powerful" and allow emissions to pass that rapidly that the cats are not available to filter?

sorry, kinda worded that wrong. wut i meant is that with longtubes youll fail emissions so if youre going to get them you might as well have no emissions controls at all such as cats

No.
IF you have visual inspection you fail with long tubes, if not you can get away with hiflow cats.(not 100% sure)

well, as of now, the car made 250rwhp BUT it was on the 2nd run and the bpv wasnt working, the car hummed, so they stopped the dyno and ordered me a new bpv. I'm supposed to hear from them tomorrow since its been a week now. I'll put up something if I get my car back.

What about tq? Make a SuperCharger thread so I don't have to jack this one.

the whole pack with a 212/218 cam and springs. I'm thinking about just selling the car and buying the cobra i've seen for 14k and getting it over with. since I put 14 into my car already and I'm not happy with the results. or intercooler and more psi, but that has its limits to it, and i cant find an intercooler for the 3.8 thats under a grand.

i have a visual inspection AND a sniffer test and i pass with LTs and HF cats. Each state has its own emissions laws...and if yur in California, then yur just screwed from the start.

oh I know about california. I'm glad I live in the middle of no where. I just wasn't sure on the LTs. I didnt think there was a reason why I wouldnt pass with them

Something is wrong...

How long is it gonna take you to get the dyno sheet posted, you said like 2weeks ago it was in the shop to be tuned.

they still have it, and they keep putting it off. I'm getting pissed. It was supposed to be done last week, and here we are, with nothing.
