Hey guys, my gas milage is rediculous...it's never really been good at all...i put $15 in it today and got it to just under half...i got to my friend's house and it was still right next to half...i got back out and started it up and it's down to a quarter and stays like that...no check engine light, runs smoother than most in town, nothing noticeably wrong with it at all...i'm going through a little more than a tank a week...all i really do is go to school and about 10 miles in town then back...nothing crazy. Please Help!

But if you haven't replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter. You may want to try those.

yea, working on getting the wires and plugs...need $$ first though...can't find it anywhere. i swear that stuff is hiding from me

maybe you should try finding out your mpg before you assume your getting poor gas miles

a regular tune up will help so will putting 89 instead of 87

would seafoam help? never done it before. from what i hear it's fun. lol. i'm trying to see if it's anything small like buildup or anything first...

there is a LIST of reason to going through gas fast
there no reason to list them all if you have no idea if your really even making bad gas mileagee your reall just assuming almost

put seafoam in the gas tank, oil, and intake... that should make your car run better. it helped my 96.

im getting 200 per tank... ya thats ... 12 miles per gallon?

broken EGR + 160 thermo + cold weather = 12 mpg...

not fun

why do you have a 160thermostat? in cold wether thats actually bad for the car

you have 15 gallons in your tank which would be 13.33mpg and even when your gas tank reads empty you still have about 1-2gallons in the tank usually

Go to a junk yard and find your body style, take the cluster out and take it apart untill you get to the odometer. Grab the lil gear outta there and run off like a bandit. I had the same problem with my 97, and after I call a shop and they told me they sold the gears, I went. Magicly they didnt sell them outright, $150 to replace that lil gear, when I already had everything torn apart...Thats bull, so I just stoped at the junkyard on the way home. If your in h-town I can help ya with it.

As for the milage, seafoam might help

i know it is... i haven't had 20 minutes to switch the 195 in that i have...

i've checked our junkyards here...not one 94-98 in any of them...i'll keep looking every now and then, though. one should show up with some of the people driving them
