HID's anyone?

was wondering if anyones running a HID conversion? I saw a bixenon 6000k kit on stang mods for like 280 with free shipping and a kit with the hid fog lights for like 450. Is that a good deal? Also is it illegal to run a certain brightness? And if I dont have stock fog lights and I get the hid fog light kit what all will I need to do to install them? Like do I need to run a new switch or are they run off the headlight switch?

Check american muscle too they aren't half bad

Is that a good deal?
Also is it illegal to run a certain brightness?
I might be wrong but over 8k is illegal cause it loses its whiteness

And if I dont have stock fog lights and I get the hid fog light kit what all will I need to do to install them?
A wiring harness... you will need to find a way to power them appropriately

Like do I need to run a new switch or are they run off the headlight switch?
you have multiple ways of wiring it honestly

it is illegal to run HIDs in any car that did not come with them from factory since you do not have the right kind of reflector in your headlight

so a fog light kit would have the harness and id just have to hard wire it in to my headlight switch? and what kid of ticket would i be looking at if i got pulled over for running hid's and are there aftermarket headlights with the reflector that anyone knows about? at this point both the kits i have been looking at dont say anything about reflectors. also which temp is the blue white light 6000k or 8000k because the the kits i have looked at one says that 8000k is pure white and the other says that 4300k is pure white so i dunno.

ticket is expensive, and for a correct reflector you would need to find a headlight similar in shape and retrofit it to the car. there isn't really a pure white 8k is the whitest before it starts looking more blue

i honestly doubt you will ever get pulled over for having hid headlights on your car, i def wouldnt worry about it, its probly the same odds of a cop pullin you over than getting on his stomach to check your exhaust for cats

its a secondary offense... if you get pulled over and you have lights that don't have any since of white in it... they will write you up

that and I know it bigger NC cities (not sure about other states) they are getting to be a road hazard so inspection stations are shooting the head lights at a beam analyzer to make sure they have the right scatter
