Jargon... and an 03 V6 Needs Mods!

As most of you probably have realized im new to the mustang tuning... Are there any good websights that explain all this jargon you guys talk? Anywhere to start learning? Also... what are some performance mods that are easy and cheaper for a guy on a tight budget for now, who is new around the mustang modding scene. Keep in mind that im planning on getting a turbo or two in the future .

You could start w/ your exhaust system and do it yourself, it's not that hard to install a complete system and you will save a bunch of money for other parts. You will have a better flowing exhaust on your 'stang and a nice sounding one depending on the setup you want. Since you said you plan on getting turbos later on, I think they say that shorty headers are the best for those, I could be wrong. I know that pypes makes x-pipes (catted and o/r) for 6ers. Heard that an x-pipe on a 6er gets a little ricey sounding when you get into the high rpms and to go w/ an h-pipe. Then the muffler is up to you. Flowmaster 2-chamber mufflers should sound nice w/ the h-pipe.

whats your budget and the year first..?

if its low usual first mods are intake n exhaust( but i'd say so are gears and t-loc..i wish i had it right now)
but when u get your exhaust i and most would suggest to get the long tube headers with it and x or h pipe.
i know your gunna ask what kinda of exuast
so here it is
flowmaster 40's for sound
magnoflow for a bit more hp...(a bit)

both sound good but most would say flowmaster sounds better..its an opinion really

if its really tight lik $300, u could possibly get the exuast if u find it that cheap somwhere.
or go with a few bolt ons
cold air intake off ebay $25 plus $20 with shipping
and t-loc or gears...
but i'd suggest getting:

t-loc and gears and intake(same time)
exhaust(with the x or h pipe and long tubes at the same time.
big tires and rims
then a tuner chip witha UD pulley which many websites sell 2gether as a package (SCT X-CAL 2 FLASHER)
then if you want throttle body or get it when u get turbo.
some ported heads and add cams with that.

then i'd hit up the tubro off TMA....but i'd suggest s/c cheaper and easier
t lok and gears will run at least 700 bucks alone to get all the required stuff and installed and tuned for speedo recal. if it is a small budget, an underdrive pulley, short belt, and cai are a good small list.

then gears/tlok, then full exhaust. but if going turbo, you would want inverted headers, not long tubes...

Can you have inverted headers without the turbos, or will that just be a pain to deal with? My exuaust sucks because im pretty sure its all welded together... at least i know the cat-back pipes are welded straight onto the cats for sure. So im going to have to buy a complete exhaust or nothing, cuz i cant just put a cat-back on or anything.

no, inverted headers point forward for turbos.

you can buy just a cat back, but that is waste. you will see very small gains and when you want to upgrade more, you will have to get a new one again... and quality parts that are in production are bolt ons, not welded. welded pipes are from shops or custom works, and they allow no room to go back and change or move stuff around without rewelding
