OMG!...
FURTHERMORE! The mustang owes half of it's heritage to the v6. Without it there would be no 4.6 or 5.0. And without it all those little "import" friends of yours might be cruising in their mommy's hatchback without ANY mods. Fact is the Mustang is one of the front runners of American muscle and it's evolution over the ages. Not to mention the evolution from hot rods to muscle cars and the subsequent development of both a modification aftermarket and further exploration of ways to improve a cars potential. PLUS there's a 4 cylinder mustang or ten out there that could beat that Jetta of yours, and probably a skyline or two. If that ain't muscle I don't know what is. So shut your fucking trap! ![]() Know your shit before you talk shit, IMO. But in all earnestness, if you want to do that to your 'stang, that's cool. But be warned, no one will take you serious. The "Import" friends will call you a wannabe. A "little doushe who should have sold that American thing and gotten Japanese steel" (Trust me, i've seen Mustang owners get flamed so bad they had to leave get togethers out of embarrassment). And when you pull up to a Mustang meet they're going to call you a sell out, a bitch, a fucking rice cooking cock sucker. That warning aside, don't go bigger than 3" because it will look and possible sound horrible. If ya wanna roll with Honda's and Acura's, then be my guest. I mean hell, I roll with a bunch of dudes in GTIs and Corrados about once a week. But you don't see me stretching my rubbers over my rims and all the other weird shit VW's do. ![]() -poindexter- Last edited by poindexter18; February 20th, 2008 at 07:39 AM. |

The big blocks in the 70s were not in small lightweight cars EXCLUDING the 427 AC Cobra side oiler.

for the time period they were, the whole point of a muscle car was big power in a small package, in the 70s you started to see some 4 door and luxury equipped muscle cars, but a GTO compared to a Lincoln Continental the GTO was super light

and the GTO was the heaviest of the muscle cars (besides maybe a late 70s tempest) but for that time of all steel and sheet metal cars 3600 is about as light as it gets but those were the muscle cars light(for the time) small body cars
