ur rwhp # r way off unless u get high cr pistons a grate cam, heads, intake, and a grate dyno tune , u will not be seing 290hp to the wheels n/a that has yet to be done.

also ur final goal of 310rwhp n/a is rediculaus i think i have a shot at brakeing the 300 mark with the set up i am planing but that is because i am gana be pushing the cr ratio higher then any one has, and will need to be runing on 100+ octane not somthing you are gana want to be runing on the street very often.

If chris is gonna built you an engine, and it's gonnabe split port then 230-240rwhp is what your gonna get with full bolt ons. If its not split port then 210-220hp.

Then add the 125shot to that (probably about 100-115realastic hp)

SSMs crate engine puts out up to 390 NA at the crank which is prolly 345ish at the wheels.....so his numbers nay not be accurate....but hittin over 300 rwhp NA is possible.

were talking pump gas (93 octane) tho, the record is ssms which i guess is 278rwhp like 02 said.

i think more is obtainable tho if you go all out w/ different heads, cam and intakes. i believe they use the satge 3 stuff on their car so if you were to use, say the ssx sheet metal upper and the rpm lower w/ imrcs removed and the rpm heads, i bet you could squeeze about 285-290rwhp out of it

show the page cause im 100% sure its 260rwhp

btw for those wondering why his motor is cheaper then your qoute may be is because his is VERY budget built
consist of forged rods. pistons, new bearings, rings and just an upgraded valve terrain

Like they said you will need to raise your compression ratio... cam and tune it for nitrous you might be able to see 300+ but it will take more work and money then your thinking

Plus you will have to add in labor unless you think you can do it all yourself

not to mention i NEVER qouted 240rwhp with a single port all motor and $3500 built
honestly this thread is making drawing me away from doing this motor
not to mention by the time this motor is ready to be built i will not be building motors in this fashion
maybe a budget build will be cheaper but not re-using old parts

I’d say it will be done in about 2 years. A little more stroke and upped cr and it will be there. I am planning on doing this, stroking the block to the limits and going up to 12-13 cr and a all the supporting modes (i.e. good heads, intake, ect.) and I should be over 300+

you'll need race gas
pump gas will NOT support that power
and we cant get much more stroke without clearance issues

Oh I know pump gas is out at that point, but it is going to be sitting in an open track race car. So higher octane is something I will be willing to sacrifice for power.

Also what is the clearance issue, I haven’t done a tone of research on this yet, but I know I there is a tt super cope drag car, and it is stroked out to 4.7L but not sure what they did to get that.
