My M90 V6 SetupI was just reading the post about the guy with the Eaton m112 on his car. I am aware of just how much work that involves, and props man!! I finished my engine about a year ago. I'm running 10psi with my m90 and a FMIC, 3.73 gears on an 8.8 rear, 42lb injectors, sct pro racer package, laptop installed for wideband 02 and datalogging, all forged internals, and a ton of other stuff. My latest mod was an automatic tranny to a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual conversion, with a spec stage 3 clutch. As of now, I have no problem beating a stock fox body 5.0, though I don't have any official numbers yet. I'm working on getting some. I would have had some by now, but I totaled the car last October. GRRR, so, I had to have the frame straightened and the radiator mount (basically the front half of the frame) replaced. Let me know what you think! Thanks, Scott ![]() ![]() ![]()

I see you went with a custom blower top and a front mount IC.

Thanks, The FMIC was one of the best things I have done to it. I definately recommend that. But, that blower top was really hard to make, especially since I was new to welding aluminum and I was using a Mig shielded with 100% argon. If only I could afford a tig. |

very nice setup. a lot of people can slap in a thunderbird s/c motor, but i love the work you did to yours. props on the rear swap and tranny too. i know you dont have numbers, how much power do you expect to make at 10psi?

How much did that 6 speed swap set you back? I have been contemplating trying it, but have no clue where to start.

sweet, welcome to moddedmustangs... what kind of FMIC did you use or did you make your own from cores? always thought that SC intercooler was rather small

That looks really good. It's how mine used to be. I planned on keeping it that way too, until I totaled the car. I had to get a new hood, fenders, and bumper anyway, and aftermarket was cheaper than factory. |

I feel like a bit of a jerk for critisizing such an amazing car, but aren't you sucking in a hot air with your current intake set up? Maybe you have it for looks or what ever reason, but if it were me I would try take in cold air from outside the engine compartment, especially on a boosted car. Agian, your car is amazing and if you know about this and like the way it is then that fine by me.

i have beaten numerous stock 5.0s and 96-98 gt's, and have beaten a few stock 99-04 gt's, but when they have a 5 speed with drag radials, they can launch and rape me off the line. look at my old timeslips and notice my shitty 60' but how i bring it up in the 1/4. my auto tranny and street tires/4.10s combo spins off the line easily.
