Gas Pedal

couldnt find a post about this but my gas pedal...it works fine and everything i can redline but i can lift the pedal up a good inch or 2 and if i let go it just drops back down....is this normal?

i hope its normal... mine does that 2.. i think it may juss be an adjustment to make people more comfy or something... thats just a huge guess though

yes it is normal, that is taking up the slack in the throttle cable

haha it;s normal there was an earlier post about this buddy um you can take it up on mustangworld.com they have an article on it. supopsedly you can get a little more out of the gas pedal sinc eyou know you pull it up higher your not bottoming out on the floor as soon so more gas and openign of the throttle body ( like it makes sense ) but does it really do it? lol i took up the slack in mine and all i found was that the pedal is just touchy now you know just tap the pedal you get a good amout of pull into the seat

you reach WOT at the floor anyway. the cable is correct lenght. the problem i see with removing the slack is if you slam the pedal down and it wont reach the floor and you really hit it hard, you may snap the throttle cable...

Yeah leave the pedal alone man. There is NO hidden horsepower under neath it trust me. I have stomped the shit outta mine neough to know!!!
