CEL turns on at random


If im driving around it will turn on for like 2 seconds and them go off. The battery light comes on at the same time, but if i get on it the CEL,batt and the head linner light come on. the headlights get brighter and my gauges go crazy. it throwing a p0301 code i've changed the plugs and wires and it still doing it. what could it be?

Sounds like the alternator is done. I would get it checked out to start with. Electrical feedback from bad diodes can cause all kinds of weird troubles and codes.

even if its trowing a p0301= Cylnder #1 misfire??????also there was oil on my plugs closest to the firewall.

the alt will starve the system and throw random codes, but oil on your plugs isnt a good thing, man go to a mechanic and have him give it a once over
