My friend just bought a 87 nissan 300 zx turbo today, and me and some people are thinking about setting up races next weekend at a few spots in my town. im not 100% sure thats what he has but he said its manuel and only cost him bout 1500 cash for the nissan. Who do you tihnk would win?

first car i EVER raced...nissan 300zx TT....he let me get about 5 lengths...and i was flooring it and i was at 100mph...it took him about 5 seconds to catch up and passed me at about 140 mph or more. I GOT destroyed.
srry to say this but u dont have a chance. those things are fast. his might not be twin turbo but still im telling u i got MURDERED. it wont even be a close race.
the impala you'll win

i'll list some cars i raced when my 2000 v6 was stock and won.
05 v6 automatic
01 civic si hatch
any stock eclipse
240sx stock(not sure wat year)
impala
Colbolt
integra b20 w/cai..
prelude with intake
camaro v6
firebird

those are some races that most people would say the v6 would lose but wont...try those out.
stay away from any year v8 stang
300zx's 350z's, G35's, Acura TL and RSX-S, and grandprix GTP

the 300 ZX turbo, stock runs low 14's at around 100 MPH you will get beat unless you have a few good bolt ons.(gears, t-loc, tune/chip)

does it matter if the guy only has had the car for a week at the time of race, so i dont think hes used to a manuel race? also the price of $1500 makes me think its not the best condition with the engine and stuff.

There are always alot of variables that can be firured into a race. I would just go with the constant, 14.1 @101 you never know so at least you know he has at least that much speed. If he doesn't consider it a pleasant surprise.

maybe...ive raced a buddy in a mazda 6 vs my 4wheeler and he lost to the wheeler, then he let me drive his car and i beat the 4wheeler. the driver makes a HUGE difference.
tell him shift 2k rpms before redline for best performance

i think you may be confused with the twin turbo but then again I could be wrong

Im not sure if they had a tune,(at least open rear end) at the v6 challenge i saw 2 stock(near stock?) 05 v6's run 15 flats(took a few runs to find sweet spot and it was 60 deg and no clouds at the track though)

both of those cars were tuned by justin from VMPTuning. his wife's 05 that was there now has a supercharger and made over 320 or rwhp and they are looking for more.

that was the best track i have been to though, ran 15 flats on a broken tranny...

they were running a 15.2 on a stock hertz rental 05 v6 driven from atlanta... couldnt tune it well because of the rental computer stuff

340rwhp @ 14psi with a 225ml nozzle, without w/m at 14psi its only 315rwhp On 14psi, 10-12* with no water/meth, 15-16* with water meth, this is at 6000rpm and peak boost. It doesn't make power past 5500rpm.

hers is now, at the time it was not. this was last march. they had two mustangs. her 06 and a rental 05
