v6 to v8


am i able to put a v8 engine in my v6 04 mustang? what do i need to know to figure this out?

It is possible, but takes alot of time, money and patience.

I dont know as much as some of the others here, but here goes a list:
  • V8 Engine
  • ECU
  • I belive a diff Tranny
  • Driveshaft
  • Rear end
Im sure theres alot more. Basicly, this is saying that it takes alot more than just the engine when converting to a v8.

Someone come on and give him the exact parts he will need

Put it this way....its cheaper/easier to sell your V6 and just buy a GT, rather than try and convert yours to a GT. The only way a swap is worth it in my opinion if you go BIG.

if you wanna swap to a big v8 like a 351 windsor it is worth it, otherwise just sale your 6 and buy a gt
