How Long should A 2000 Mustang Convt Last?

zdrainxx Regular Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 180	How Long should A 2000 Mustang Convt Last? I have a 2000 mustang convertible with 95000 miles on it. I was planning on doind stuff to it, but would it be worth it? or should i just save up to get try for a cobra in a few years?

i have a 96 v6 with who knows how many miles (the odometer stopped at 109k and that was before i drove it from Cali to Alaska). she still runs strong and i can drive her hard anytime i wish. like AB said... keep up with a normal maintenance schedule and it will last a very long time

ashskyler Newbie Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 21	Mileage dosent mean anything to me. As long as the car is in good shape, thats what i look for. YOu can buy a new or rebuilt engine from $1000+. That much money aitn nothing to me if it means giving a nice car 5-6 more years of life. You might have other issues that will need fixing along the way but even so its better than have a 6 year car payment of $300+ each month. __________________ 2006 Mustang Coupe 4.0 V6
