4.10s, 1st gear will be much shorter than 2 seconds. you rev up and accelerate through the powerband much quicker than with a lower ratio. if i were to time it from a dig, 4.10s would be more like 1.25 seconds

and of course they hurt mpg. you are in the powerband at highway speeds.

So I guess I'd get this and I'll be set? I suppose it comes with the gears as pictured but you just pick the ratio?

Does it come with both the posi and 4:10s thats what I need to know.

Now for the 8.8 girdle is this what I need if so is it cheaper anywere else or is this a good deal?

No, no. Those are also links for 8.8" products. Here is what you should do. Email Drivetrain Specialists about your car specs: 1999 Ford Mustang V6 with a 7.5" rear, and you want a "Ford Racing Performance Parts Trac Lok differential for the 7.5" rear, a FRPP 4.10:1 Ring and Pinion gear set for the 7.5" rear, and the accommodating installation kit at a package price." Don't be afraid to negotiate either.

When you have the t lok, gears, and instal kit package settled, then contact Jason@VMPTuning for the XCal2 for 379.99

Well I just found this site... I was wondering if someone can vouch on there behalf.

http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/drivetrain2.htm

anyways it say's the 4:10's are for the 7.5 girdle and so is the lsd. Is this true. The girdle wont break open?

if you get the frpp ring and pinion, it's a waste of money to buy the install kit as most all of the parts are sent w/ the r&p

Yeah, I never planned on an install kit, Just flat out the lsd, gears and girdle. I wanted to know tho if the 4:10's on this site supposedly for the 7.5 will hold without breaking my stock 7.5. If that set up works Im just ganna get the lsd, 4:10s and keep my stock 7.5 so I can use the rest of the money on a tuner.

http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/drivetrain2.htm

But if I had those three things would a local shop be able to install it no problems asked?
