its quite expensive i'd say its not even worth it, better of selling ur v6 for a 5speed v6.

I just posted this on a thread that I started, but it looks like it will be helpful here:

I bought the t-56 from ford racing for $2200 (it's for a 94-95 5.0). Then, I needed a 157-tooth aluminum flywheel (I don't remember the prices). I bought a spec stage 3 clutch kit (I think it was around $300). The cable, firewall adjuster, clutch fork, dust cover, and some bolts were around $150 all together. The clutch pedal assembly was used from a fox body 5.0 (which I modified to fit my car) was $50. Shortening the driveshaft was $150 with new spicer u-joints. I then flashed the computer with SCT's Pro Racer Package and the X-Cal 1. I also had to modify the rear tranny mount by welding new brackets onto the body, and a few other small modifications. Oh yeah, the shifter handle, knob, and boot was about $70 all together. It looks like it cost me arount $3k. But, it should last a long time.

Oh yeah, I have a 98 3.8 mustang. The m90 supercharged engine is putting out around 300hp. The auto trans (which was properly tuned, full of B&M trick shift atf, with a 3000rpm stall converter, with 50k miles) only lasted another 7k miles before I lost 1st and 2nd. I had a hard time finding a built automatic or built 5-speed that could hold up to it and my future plans. The 6-speed was close to the cheapest and was definately the best option in my situation.

It wasn't really that hard. Everything from a 94-95 5.0 mustang will fit on the 94-98 3.8 mustang, as far as the clutch and transmission go. I had to shorten the stem on the speedo gear to fit the t-56, but that's really easy. If there are any questions, you can e-mail me at ssajdowitz@gmail.com
