2004 mustang

My buddy has a 2004 mustang 6 40th avvinersary with headers, high flow h pipe, dual flowmasters, a cheapo cai.. I think thats it for freeing up the hp. What are some more cheap bolt ons you would reccomend to him? no u/d pullies he put small subs in his car.

well he can get pulleys, and get an alternator overdrive so that it wont bother his system, a tuner is a good investment, also gears and t-lok, Port and polish TB) after that you start getting into a lot of money

What is the biggest restriction on the 2004's? heads or intake manifold? If he did just the intake manifold, would he notice a difference?

It kinda pointless to do one without the other. You will prolly only see 15 hp if you do one and not the other. And if yur gonna do both of them....might as well do a cam while youre in there.

The added weight would be pointless. U/D pullies dont even do a lot. Well he doesn't have that much money so i think He will start with the manifold.. 15 hp is plenty thats a nice gain

k ud-pulleys don't do allot. Yah id hate the extra 8-10 HP and a faster revving engine. it just sucks ass man.

As for the P&P you will make a gain, but you should have it tuned to get the most out of it. and if your P&P the intake, then u might as well do the heads. and if your doin all that then u might as well cam it and update your valve tran according. which is all great mods but expect to spend close to $1500

UD-Pulleys. $250 8-10 hp thats a good HP to cash ratio.

wrong...

a bigger t.b isn't worth it unless he p&p

i still dont get it.. why ppl say a t.b will give u more h.p ALONE its all a lie a bigger t.b is worthless if you dont do a p&p..

picture it like this.. the t.b is the door the intake the ceiling and the t.v the air.. so u have a 4ft door and a 4ft ceiling and you have a nice lil t.v so you want to enter this huge 67" plasma and you change your door to a 8ft one but then you try to enter the nice plasma and it doesn't because your ceiling is still 4ft tall...

same thing happens on car.. if you change to a bigger t.b you aren't entering more air because the intake cant take more air in..

and U>D PULLEYS R GREAT MOD!

isnt easier to just say the throttle (butterfly valve) hits the inside of the upper intake so it wont open fully at WOT....hence leaving no HP gain or even a loss?

Just curious.... how much have you guys paid to have to UDP installed? I was thinking of buying them from RPMoutlet.... I know some people don't like them but I have no complains.

honestly the upper intake is probably the biggest restriction in our cars
a windstar upper and ported lower with out the IMRCs will really gain him some power opened up. the windstar alone is about 15rwtq 8rwhp est..
with the lower ported and an intake probably looking at 20rwhp and 30rwtq around and a tune would help

have you seen cut-n-weld ported uppers vs ANY upper intake swap for our cars?

when you do then you'll see facts

and he mention/ask what really holds ppower back
well the stock upper intake does more then you or anyone thinks. more then out stock exhaust and intake together will help x2

the crank pulley is holding us back
stock gears arent power robbing or holding us back

hmm maybe i was giving facts
