tensioner pulley


i am trying to change my tensioner pulley and i do not know what socket i need to use to loosen the pulley not the bolt that holds the pulley on but the one that changes the tension

leave it taught why you take the pulley off

u dont need a socket u use a 3/8 ratchet with out a socket on it.

i don't think you can take just the pulley off of the tensioner unit... its part of the design you have to remove the whole assembly

when i was looking at the pulley it looked like it was in a star patern??? and i tried a 3/8ths extention and it wouldnt go in

yah never mind use a socket on the pulley bolt on the tensioner then rotate the ratchet and it will pull the tensioner.

thanks man that did it....i was reading in the manual and it said the samething you did the first time...and i was so confused....but the belts off now
