96-98 swap?

can i fit a older cobra motor in my 07 v6? i ask because my friend wrecked his 98 cobra(rear ended) and he said i can have his motor for like 200 bucks

Sure, you can put an LS1 in it also.....
Or a v10 out of a viper...

Will it be worth it cost wise, no.

is the 98 a 4.6 or a 5.0?? if its a 5.0 ill take it for $200

Very worth it. 200 bucks for a 4v 4.6L! hell, thats definitely worth it.

still alot of money/time involved making the conversion just for the engine....not even gettin into upgrading brakes/rear axle/suspension to handle the extra power.

how come a lot of people talk about droping a v8 into their 6 and after they make a thread about wut they need we never hear about it again?

Buy the time your done converting the 4.6L 4v into the v6, you could be walking all on top of one.

Before you saved the $ to s/c the 4.6L 4v you could turbo this 6 that you dumped the money into that you saved from not swapping, and walk over this stock s/c 4v

However, the 4.6L 4v will have a slightly better exhaust note while its behind you.

2 they dont have the money

the cobra engine of that year isn't crazy powerful... it has 305 hp @ crank lol (same as new gt's).
the rear, suspension, etc. should handle that until he does some performance upgrades.

but the 98 cobra engine is a hand built monster of a block it would be my ford v8 engine of choice other than a 428
