hi i was just wondering what a air shaker scoop system does to your car performance wise like horsepower and all and if you had to buy a new hood compared to a stock v6 one to install it...

meh you could rig it up but you would need a new hood or cutting the crap out of your old v6 one and all it does is give you more forced air and the faster you go the more the force so meh power gains i assume would be way in the high speeds

It is pretty much a fancier cold air intake, but have heard it really only starts to work at higher speeds.

they make kits for the v6. 700 bucks. you cut your hood with a template and bolt the scoop on. not worth the money though. gains are like a new cold air intake- worthless for money spent

lol basically $700 for the reaction of a cold air intake...5hp or less.
i dont think to many people would say its worth it
not to mention ppl will think you car is a v8, or mach 1. ppl think my car is a v8 so no one will race.
which is why im gettin a v6 emblem for my sides soon

It happened on the Dyno....................
Blew a head gasket at 5400rpms with 14 pounds of boost, cylinder #2 went lean and melted the stock cast NA piston. Which blew the dipstick out and sprayed oil on to the red hot header which started a fire. Luckly the fire went out fairly fast with no bonus damage.
