i have always choose the msd 8.5 superconductors but others really like the livewires, needless to say there is actually a slight gain in performance over the OE parts, and for sparkplugs look at the autolite coppers or the motorcrafts. don't forget to get some antiseize for the threads

Go for MSD. I'm gonna change to MSD soon. I have Livewires, but I like MSD more.

antiseize is a compond that you brush onto the sprak plug threads, so the heat doesn't cause them to seize with the aluminum heads, then when you go to remove them and you would ask what a helicoil is

I got antiseize when I ordered my wires. Your local pepboys, advanced auto parts, etc should carry it.

I just put a little motor oil on the threads (and yes, all of my heads are aluminum)

also, wires wont actually do much without a higher power ingnition (just incase you didnt know)

btw, i wouldnt use a taper guage, use a wire guage

antiseize only goes on the spark plug threads, on the plug to wire connection you use dielectric grease, both are found at your local parts stores (autozone, advance, napa, pepboys...ect.)

The oil mainly helps with threading it. Its just that all my cars heads are aluminum and ive never used anti sieze, it sounds like a bit of a gimick to me...
