I've seen some folks run spares on the front, though you know they're not rated for high speed right? Too dangerous a risk IMO.

I have seen them run as skinnies as well. Most tracks will not tech you with those as front runners. None are speed rated for that type of use (unless you are driving rice)

personally for the amount of time that it takes to run the quarter figure for your average stang 12-16 seconds and tras speeds probably just touching over 110 mph its not risk as far as I am concerned its not like the speeds are sustained.....I am figuring the speed they rate the tires at is constant not just less than 10 seconds at above there rated speed....but I could be wrong

True, it is not a sustained speed but I don't want one coming apart on me at 100+ mph.

I wouldn't run those tires but its your life so you make the call. At what point does safety cost too much? Around here you will never step foot on a race track with mini spares. How much do you think you will gain from those tires? I'll tell you right now you will not see any improvement. For one thing the difference in rolling resistance between a stock wheel and a spare is minimal. Also the tire is mounted on a steel rim. That rotating weight does more damage than the rolling resistance does.

you put them on the rear? wtf. to tell the truth, stock 15" v6 wheels are lighter weight than the spare.
