dripping

every time i turn my car off i get a dripping sound like some type of liquid im guessing water is dripping on something hot. it drips for about 10mins and i was wondering if any one knew what it was and if it can harm my car in any way? also how could it be fixed or redirected to drip some where else cause water on hot metal cant be good.

your car shouldn't drip unless your running the AC.

hows your coolant level?

good question ill have to check, the sound seems like its coming from the driver side right under where the brake fluid is held. i parked it and i heard water landing on something hot so im guessing something is dripping on my exhaust.

could it be your cats cooling down and no liquid at all

it sounds like a distinct water dripping sound, like something dripping on something hot. i think it might be some thing dripping on my exhaust.
