the problem is is that the 06 is single exhaust so would i have to cut out a part of the frame of it in order to install it??, because i don't know where else i'd run it, and i dont' want to mess that up at all.....

Alright. For duals to look right and also have the right clearance you need a gt exhaust. I have seen a sixer with duals with a v6 bumper, and it looked horrible. If you can. Just upgrade the whole exhaust from your headers back. If your doing a non turbo application get LT headers, h-pipe, cat back of your choice, and a gt rear bumper. Turbo application, get the rear bumper, cat back of your choice and when you find out all that is needed for your certin turbo application then figure out the midpipe.

its ok, the only dumb question is the one not asked

your mustang has whats called a y pipe, it sucks and give you no good sound =)
basically from your exhaust manifolds (you have 2)is the start, then connected to it is some other non sense then the cat converters...(not 100% what it is but its just there)
basically right there you have the tip of the Y.....two pipes in otherwards
that then connect to just one pipe...thus the middle of the Y..
then it exits in that one pipe giving you a sort of Y shape set up which is called the Y pipe

cutting the pipes where it connects allows you no long have a one exit exhaust set up if you run
straight pipes or known has true dual
and X pipe or H pipe
for the V6 i'd say get an H pipe.
the H pipe runs from where you cut your Y pipe into 2 sections...and just like an H you have a tube on the left and one on the right...and somewhere in the middle of the pipes you have a pipe sort of like a brigde from one side too another givin you an H looking set up.

the newer 05+ mustangs have the mufflers at the very rear of the car which is where yours will be located

i hope this is clear..

what you should be looking for is findin a full stainless steel exhaust set up for your year mustang peferably with and H pipe to your advantage.

ive heard the newer stangs with flowmaster 40's and they sound nice!

i wouldnt "cut" the pipes on a new car. just buy the correct mid pipe and catback. buy an H pipe for your car and the cat back for the GT mustang. it will bolt right up no problem and give you quality parts
