if you rev it up from a stop and then put it into drive it can mess up the gears in your tranny. I don't recommend it. If your trying to do a burnout put your foot on the brake and then the other foot on the accelerator. Feather them both until you sitting still and spinning your well in your case unless if you have a t-loc your tire.

to beef up your auto you need to get a better torque converter and a shift kit. The shift kit lets you hold any rpm you want in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The torque converter lets you have a higher stall speed. Well thats those in a brief nutshell. Could more in depth into them, but I don't know much more.

Hopin that was from a roll and he was modded. Our cars can take celicas, and yes we can take the Celica GTS. They only make 180hp, and that isn't to the wheels. If it was from a dig, he was automatic, and stock you would smoke him.

are you sure a stock pre 05 v6 could best this?

2000 GTS
Engine Size 1.8 liters / 110 cu. in.
Horsepower 180 @ 7600 rpm
Torque (lb-ft) 133 @ 6800 rpm
Transmission 6-speed manual
Wheelbase / Length 102.3 in. / 170.4 in.
Curb Weight 2500 lbs.
Pounds Per Horsepower 13.9
Fuel Capacity 14.5 gal.
0 to 60 mph 6.6 sec
1/4 mile (E.T.) 15.2 sec

bolt ons vs bolt ons a v6 should own the gts, but stock for stock the gts should win

if he was a 5spd, then he should only have 140hp (2k-2k5)

at best a 5spd celica(1990-1993 gts turbo) had 200hp and 200'lbs with a curb of 2400-2900 (depends on body type)

i dont really car cause:

saab or bimmer vs celica = euro ownage

or

saab or bimmer vs most likely broken down turbo celica = euro ownage again

add that to the fact that ive never seen a good celica driver and only 2 stick ones means that celicas seem to be pretty lame
