Type S, more power, significantly lighter.

Yes, you have more torque, but its not enough. Those cars are about 500 pounds lighter than a V6 stang.

like a cai actally can give you enough preformance gains...

only cai = basically stock(+ or - 5ish hp most of the time)

well, they're not all that fast, v6 stang is near as fast out of th box (def. faster if 2005+) and has far better bolt on potential

a 15.2 1/4 will beat any stock v6 mustang. just having a cai will hardly make up for the difference of conditions between runs

will a cai (done right) even give you a tenth on an otherwise stock car?

I've raced 2 05 V6's and neither impressed me. The first guy I beat stopped next to me at the next light, and asked me if I had a V8 Not like my license plate says anything, maybe he was too far back to read it tho.

lol(to cai preformance)

at least they look good and can get your mafs oily...

edit: a 2005+, while inconsistent off line w/o good driver due to open rear, will run 15 flats given the right conditions, def. faster than any other stock v6

Good thing I am tuned Haven't lost to one yet. Course most of them have been bone stock with a pilot who suffered from a midlife crisis...

point blank
i have a 2000 mustang v6
when my car was bone stock except just a K&N filter...just the filter
i lost to an RSX type S. i raced 2 of them a few times and lost, i know it was stock cuz the exhaust was stock, and rims, and springs. and U KNOW! that first thing those guys do is put the big fat fart can out back. then cut the springs.

i shifted at redline and lost i shifted a lil past redline and still lost as if it help. and i switch gears pretty quick when im racing

unless the guy drivin the rsx sucks
id put all my money on the rsx type s
idk about just an RSX though

and thats why most of you guys have half way to full bolt ons and can own any rsx, s or not. Keep those ricers in their place! (well atleast the fart can, spring cut rsx's)

edit: forgot about that tune, well they're still the fastest v6es and a match for an rsx (werent those rentals and could have had a n eve better tune if not rentals?)

yes, the rental company has a more complex ecu that cannot be fully tuned to the perameters available on "unlocked" ecu's. the rental was a 5 speed as well.
