Painting the rad?!?!?!


Um just a little question....is it abad thing to paint the radiator?!?!?!! let's say i put a anti rust primer, chrome, black or metalic sylver spray paint and a clear coat. Will this affect the radiator....

Yes, will it affect it alot? No, i would suggest looking into a 180 if you live in a state that gets really warm weather

i doubt if it would cause you to have issues with cooling but i would imagine itd be quite difficult to get paint to stick to all the fins and crevices of a radiator. probably end up all crackin and peelin off and then your radiator will really look like ass. if its in bad shape you could just buy a new one, those come pretty shiny as is.

My rad does look like shit but if painting it will make it look worse then i wont.....if i buy a new one what wiil it give me.....mine seems to be working perfectly?!?!?

It would likely still work sufficiently, but I wouldn't want to insulate the radiator in any way unnecessarily.
