4:10 gears all the way with t-loc
that is estimated to be about $700-$800 with install
everyone with it says its the biggest improvement or notice u'll see. (aside from extreme mods..s/c turbo etc..)

so 4:10 with t-loc $800
youve still got $700
either put the exhaust
or get a UD pulley with the SCT XCAL2--$500-$550
you still have money for cold air intake

with the UD pulley, XCAL, gears and t-loc and CAI
im pretty sure you can take that type S

i raced a guy with 4:10's on his v6, not sure what else he had, i know he had exhaust and ugly rims
but his first gear was seriously second long maybe 1.5seconds, and once he switched to 2nd he already was a car ahead of me

4:10 -130 drivetrain specialists ebay power seller
t-lok -190 rpm-outlet
install-200 reasonable price for it at a install shop
SCT tuner 379.99 jason @vmp tuning

about 600 left

pulley- 150
intake- 50-100
catback to start on full exhaust 350

hope this helps a lil

if you install the gears...it'll be close to $700 or $800
depending what the mechanic charges...the v6 i raced sed he paid $380 for both and mechanic charged $350 to install both

well from my research and looking around, on ebay you can pay if your lucky a lil over $300 for both if not $350, then a mechanic to install both for $200 and uve got a grand total of $550 maybe $600 with shipping

no, 300 for gears and t lok, 70 for instal kit, free shipping, then 200 for instal and 379.99 for xcal 2 from jason and justin @ VMPTuning. this puts you at 950 tops- how do i know? i have done this mod and have receipts and email conversations printed to prove my claim

shop around. negotiations are key. never pay advertised prices!

so you can do gears abd have 600 left over. 600 will not get you full exhaust, but you can get an off road (meant for shorty headers here) H pipe and a gt mustang cat back of the same year for 160midpipe price and 350cat back price. these bolt on no problem to the factory manifolds and will improve power and sound substantially, but if you wanted long tubes in the future, you would need a new midpipe.

you could do what i would do and get gears and save the other money until you have more to get the full exhaust all at one time. gears/t-lok and full exhaust are the two biggest bolt ons. i would suggest a cam, but that will be the last mod you should get to fully use the rest of the mods on the car. maybe spend the extra 500-600 on suspension upgrades?

to me the thought of having nitrous on a stock v6 mustang...i'd be scared to press the button at all

not to mention you cant even get a big shot of nitrous. i was looking at a thread and they sed 75 would be safe not to go over 100

A 75 shot is a significantly big shot. I know a guy who ran a 150 shot on his STOCK V6. Granted, he wasnt running it very long (the motor didnt blow, he took the kit off), but he was running 13.3's all day.

That is a good concern, I had about ~1300 invested in my nitrous setup.
