The front sway bar ties the front end together. It won't hurt anything if you remove it but the handling in corners and stopping will be adversely affected. If this is your daily driver, I wouldn't do it. I have had mine off for over a year and had no problems. However, mine is an occasional driver/track car. It has been lowered but does act much different without the bar. It only takes about 20 minutes to remove it.

but if lowered w/ stiffer springs the body roll is rather minimal and ok for a dd
btw, with a t-lok and no fsb you can do dougnuts rather easy too, adds some more stupid fun to your car that most of us love http://youtube.com/watch?v=poT4YBqiUTE

lowered, you wont notice as much body roll without the sway bar as much as a stock ride height. but depending on what you want out of the car, removing the front sway bar may not be as good as purchasing a rear sway bar
