ya a friend of mine had one he rebuilt(all new n full posi) but the kinda got into some debt problems so i bought it for $150 n was hoping that i could stuff it up under this little V6.... the biggest reason i wantd to go to a 5.0 besides the obvious power is that is similer to the chevy small block design than the 4.6

It would be a cakewalk to drop a 350 in your Mustang. AJE sells the K-member kit to swap it out with no problems. They also sell the transmission crossmember for your application as well.

I have to agree. The 8.8" is good for whatever you're gonna throw at it. If you're goin' far enough to need a built rear, I would suggest a backhalf, and a narrowed 9", but I doubt you are going for that kind of power (1000+).
