The link you posted will fit. And what is bad about researching for yourself? And are two topics necessary for the same general question at the same time?

Would you like me to keep both threads up, or would you prefer having the other one moved and combined with this one?
It may be cheaper to find a rear end locally due to freight shipping on a heavy rear axle assy.

if possible delete the one in the v6 section....srry about the blow up, and thanks for the help.
the thing is im not to sure if there is a junkyard around here... plus i'd prefer a newer one. i just dont trust some old things im searching now about the shocks an struts for the new rear i had no idea i'd have to change suspension....if i get these springs: http://www.americanmuscle.com/forac.html would they still work with the 8.8 once again srry about the earlier post...on tuesdays after work my day is always frustrating. my bad though

Dude, no problem about earlier. I like you as a member and wouldnt want you to think otherwise.
Finding a local junkyard may be difficult. My closest one is about a half hour away over in SC, but there are 3 of them within 5 miles of each other. Finding a new rear will be very expensive as it entails the carrier, axles, differntial unit, gears, and then building the brake kit on it too. Used parts can be found and in good condition. And that link for C springs will work no problem with the 8.8" complete rear axle assy. They bolt right up into the same location as the 7.5" rear. Let me add about the mach 1 rear- they came stock with 3.55:1 gears, but that may not be enough gear for you. It is probably cheaper to find a GT from 99-04 with a stock rear involved in a front end collision and totaled and yank the rear and just pop in 4.10s or 3.73s (w/e ratio you want really) and you already have the trac lok stock... GT, mac 1, and cobra have tlok stock, but 03-04 cobra has IRS, and would require a new catback to go around/under rear. I will take care of the v6 section thread for you. It will be removed from public, but the posts not deleted.

Yeah, I looked into new rear axle assy. and they were at minimum 700 before shipping at online junkyards. Maybe yellow page or ask local members of a FL junkyard or reputable ebay link to find the right rear for you. Don't be impatient, because you want to get a quality rear as well as a cheap one.
For me, it was cheaper to build the 7.5 for my application, but if you are getting a poweradder, and 8.8 will be safe, especially with a manual and sticky tires, or you might find yourself with a broken 7.5 on launch

yea, i know a guy whose friend not only bent his rear axle, but his car bent right a the bottom of the front windshield and messed up sooo much shit. he sed it was due to way too much torque.
im guessing he didnt know to much, cuz he just bought a new engine and put a blower on it and extras to make it boost 17psi. or sumthin he sed i have a while before i can afford turbo anyway, i just prefer to get the axle as soon as possible so its out of the way

It is definitely safer to build a strong base then add power later. Good luck findng the 8.8" you want. Try searching V6Power.net for FS threads, usually they have a couple 8.8s laying around
