My stock hood was fiber glass, I'm 100% sure, and I can post pictures later.

the front metal latch system is metal and it branches a little bit int he front otherwise we're looking at thick fiberglass. just got my hood cracked in the begining of july. truck packed up on my hood.

yours was 01 right. hmm my 01 shattered and my 04 went crispy and cracked ( definately not metal) when he backed on top of my hood. so i dunno why yours was metal.. thats odd for ford to do that.. they're cheap haha.

mine is definately not the stock hood. very thin fiberglass and WAY diferent color than the rest of the car.

no i had a 2000, when I was hit we sanded it down and hammered it out so it was def metal. It may have been aftermarket though I got the car with 50k miles on it

Definately new edge stock hoods 100% fiberglass. The 2000, I have one, if yours was metal someone for some reason bought a metal hood = dumb.

yeah, i would say no to hood pins, unless needed. i am thinking of putting them on my stock hood. and not just in front, at all 4 corners, so i can save weight by getting ride of the prop rod, hood latch, and hinges.

but i am also a little special. lol
